In 2012, I placed third internationally as Rocky Mountain Leather SIR, but I never fully allowed myself to celebrate what I had accomplished. Now, as I prepare to compete for Georgia Pup, I am returning to the stage as Ruff—supported by my Alpha, my pack, and the people who helped me rediscover happiness, but running for myself.
While talking with his therapist about whether to attend Pup Night, Ruff realized he wasn’t afraid of the event itself—he was afraid of not being the version of himself he thought everyone expected. Harry has no interest in productivity, perfection, or pretending to be anything other than himself.
